Today, Paladin, the leading pro bono management company, unveiled Paladin Insights, an advanced reporting and data analytics platform designed to provide pro bono teams with unprecedented access to real-time data and actionable insights.

Paladin Insights empowers pro bono teams with the high-level metrics they need to respond efficiently to annual surveys, RFPs, and legal services provider audits. It also enables users to drill down into timekeeper and matter-specific details to assist with staffing, mitigate deadline risks, and view data related to professional development-related opportunities. The new platform builds on Paladin’s acquisition of Pro Bono Manager at the end of 2023, merging Pro Bono Manager’s granular data capabilities with Paladin’s intuitive interface and state-of-the-art data modeling to deliver next-generation technology for law firms.

Currently, most pro bono teams depend on monthly CSV reports from Accounting or Finance departments to assess pro bono participation. These static reports lack the real-time data necessary to manage risk and appropriately staff cases, as well as align outreach efforts with firm goals. Paladin Insights provides detailed, dynamic engagement dashboards and customizable reports, equipping pro bono teams to make data-driven decisions across offices with ease.

Key Features of Paladin Insights Include:

  • Custom Dashboards: Tailored visualizations, updated nightly, track engagement, hours, and matter-specific information relative to firms’ metrics to provide instant insights.
  • Detailed Notes and Tags: Customized, internal notes and tags allow pro bono teams to include anecdotes and granular details that increase team-wide communication and context.
  • Top-Requested Reports: Create tailored, frequently requested reports, including the annual AmLaw Pro Bono Scorecard and Pro Bono Institute surveys.
  • Drill-downs into Timekeepers, Matters, and Providers: View granular information related to a timekeeper, a matter, or a provider for risk management, restaffing, and reporting purposes.

“Pro bono is an area within law firms that has been significantly underserved by other data and business intelligence tools,” said Kristen Sonday, Paladin’s Co-Founder and CEO. “This work is high-impact, and pro bono teams should have access to top-tier technology that empowers them to better serve the firm and the community. Paladin Insights, which draws inspiration from the success of Pro Bono Manager, is the result of extensive client conversations about how to structure and present data to make it actionable and impactful, and we believe this will make it easier for pro bono teams to manage and operate their programs.”

Paladin Insights was beta released to Pro Bono Manager clients, with a general release scheduled for March 17, 2025.

“Paladin helps our firm with tracking and reporting on thousands of pro bono matters across our global platform. We are excited to continue working with the Paladin team and to further explore features of the Paladin Report Builder,” said Amy Groff, Partner, Vice Chair of Firmwide Pro Bono Committee at K&L Gates.
